Vancouver, British Columbia
Accounting and tax, made clear.
For over fifteen years I have guided business owners, incorporated professionals and individuals through Canadian tax, from Vancouver and across the country.
-
Over 15 years in Canadian taxation
Personal and corporate returns, bookkeeping, payroll and correspondence with the CRA, prepared year after year for individuals, professionals and companies. Fifteen years is long enough to have met most situations, and to recognise the ones that need particular care.
-
Overseen from start to finish
Each file passes through a single review before it is signed off. The standard does not vary with who prepared the work, or with how routine the file appears.
-
Explained before it is filed
Before anything reaches the CRA, you are shown the figures and the reasoning behind them, and where a choice was made, what the alternative would have meant. A return you understand is one you can stand behind.
-
English, Ukrainian and Russian
Tax has its own vocabulary, and it is easier to think in the language you know best. Questions are welcome in any of the three.

Why work with me
Planning ahead, together
Tax season should hold no surprises. By reviewing your situation early in the year, while decisions can still be made, we can plan deliberately and you will know what to expect well before anything is filed.
Every client's circumstances are different, so I begin by listening: your work, your family, and what you intend to build. From there you receive considered advice, explained in plain language, and an honest answer whenever something is not worth pursuing.
How it works
Four steps, in this order
- 01
Tell me what you need
A short call or a message. Describe your situation in your own words. There are no forms to decipher first.
- 02
We review your situation together
I look at what you have: previous returns, records, any letters from the CRA. Then I tell you plainly what is involved.
- 03
You receive a quote in writing
What needs doing, in what order and by when, with the fee set out clearly. Everything is agreed and signed before any work begins. If the work turns out to be larger than expected, you will hear from me before anything further is done.
- 04
We complete the work
Books reconciled, returns prepared, filings submitted. And I remain available for the questions that come afterwards.
About
The person behind the numbers
For over fifteen years I have worked in Canadian taxation, from the Dunbar area of Vancouver, with individuals, self-employed professionals, entrepreneurs and corporations across the country.
As a mother, I have learned patience and understanding. As an accountant, I value precision, organization and clarity. As a dancer and a photographer, I notice detail and pattern, and I see a situation whole, not in pieces.
Common questions
Questions I am asked most
-
What happens in a first consultation, and is there a charge?
The first consultation is free. It is a chance to get to know each other: you describe your situation and what you are dealing with, and I tell you what is involved and whether you need me at all. You can ask a question or two and get a straight answer, with nothing committed.
-
What does it cost to work with you?
- Personal tax return, from $175
- Self-employed return, from $250
- Corporate year end and T2, from $1,200
- Bookkeeping, from $250 a month
- Payroll, from $75 a month
Fees depend on the work involved. You get a written quote after the free consultation, before anything begins.
-
Do I have to be in Vancouver to work with you?
No. I am based in the Dunbar area of Vancouver and work with clients across Canada. We can meet in person, by phone, or by video call, whichever suits you, and you send your documents through a secure client portal.
-
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes, and it is more straightforward than people expect. I review your recent returns and records, request what is needed, and take over from there. You do not need to explain or justify the change to anyone.
-
I have not filed for a few years. Is that a problem?
It is a common starting point, not an unusual one. We file the missing years in order and deal with the CRA from there. The situation stops getting more expensive the day the returns go in.
-
I received a letter from the CRA. Can you help?
Yes. Bring the letter exactly as it arrived. Most notices are requests for information or adjustments rather than audits, and responding properly and on time is usually the whole job.
-
I moved to Canada this year. Do I need to file a return?
Usually yes, and it is worth doing even if you earned little. Your first return establishes your residency for tax purposes and opens access to credits and benefits. If you still have income or property abroad, that may need reporting too, and we go through it together.
-
Can I ask you questions in Ukrainian or Russian?
Yes. I work in English, Ukrainian and Russian. Tax is difficult enough in a first language, so ask in whichever one you think in.
More on the questions page.
Not sure where to start?
The first consultation is free. Tell me your situation, and I'll tell you what is involved.
